Coos Bay Estuary Webinar Series #1: Coos Bay Estuary 101

February 24, 2022 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm PST

Do you swim, fish, or boat on the waters of Coos Bay? Do you know about the many components that make the Coos Bay estuary a unique environment?  Between the strong commercial fishing industry and the thriving bay grasses, the Coos Bay estuary is a hub for recreation, conservation, economic development, and a key part of the solution to climate change.

Every 4th Thursday at 5:30PM (from February through July), Rogue Climate, Coast Range Forest Watch, Coos Bay Surfriders, and Oregon Shores Conservation Coalition are hosting a webinar series to dive into all that makes our bay incredible! Make sure to register for the series here: bit.ly/cbestuaryseries

The first webinar, on Thursday, February 24 at 5:30PM PST, will be a dive into the fascinating estuary features that make Coos Bay an essential ecosystem to protect. This panel, which will include speakers from the South Slough National Estuarine Research Reserve and Coos Watershed Association, will focus on the rivers, wetlands, and other important boundaries of the Coos Bay estuary.
