South Coast Community Gathering: Resilience on the Coast

Across Oregon, there is a statewide effort to develop a Plan for a Resilient Oregon (PRO), a people-centered resilience strategy to help communities around Oregon adapt and thrive in the face of increasingly severe disasters. Through the Governor’s office, the PRO process aims to be responsive to the unique cultures, demographics, histories, and hazards of Oregon’s diverse regions. Join us for a discussion on the unique climate and community resilience needs for the South Coast, with opportunities to dive deeper in small groups. Tribal Elders and community volunteers will help facilitate Talking Circles, a cultural practice that offers everyone opportunities to have a voice and engage in authentic conversations.
